Thanks. The Engine still has the exhaust manifolds on so cant do that. Plan is to do a leak down test and camera inspection from the spark plug holes to determine the condition of the valves. I am pretty sure what happened was a failed cam shaft seal caused oil to leak onto the timing belt and pool in the bottom of the crankshaft sprocket area causing it to slip one tooth on the oil soaked gear which caused a valve(s) to bend. The timing calibration mark on the lower timing cover indicates 8 degrees with the other 4 cam gear timing marks lined up perfectly. Not sure how to tell where the exhaust TDC position is? The engine is sitting in the Compression #1 TDC position now with all the marks lined up except the crank gear (+8 degrees). Also, Anyone know if the heads can be replaced with the engine still in the vehicle and the best place to get reman heads with all the trimmings (porting...)? Looks like CZP has discontinued them.
